I. have been extremely fond of sports from a very young age, and I have always actively participated in all the sports competitions in my school. From sprints to badminton, I was continuously out in the fields. However, it was martial arts that caught my attention. The various kicks thrilled me like nothing ever could.

In 2019, I won a Bronze medal at State Level Taekwondo Championship. It was for the first time I participated in a championship. Undeniably, I was very nervous. In 2019, I also played State Level Sqay and won a Bronze medal. In 2020, I played District Level Sqay and won a silver medal. With time, I became confident. I had set my mind that I have to succeed, so I participated in State Level Taekwondo Championship in 2020 where I won a Silver medal.

In 2021, District Level Sqay – Gold Medal

In 2021, State Level Sqay – Gold Medal

I got selected for State Level Championship where I won a Gold medal.

Q: Any short-term goal you look forward to?

I look forward to playing for Nationals soon.

Q: Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to and who has been supporting you all this time?

Taekwondo is mainly a male sport, and not many girls would venture into it. However, I want to inspire girls around me to take up sport as it is very beneficial. I am thankful to have a supportive family that stands with me. My parents especially are my rock. My coach, Mr. Umer Akbar Sir has been a significant pillar of support for me.

Q: Is there a message you want to give out to the youth?

I want to inspire girls to take Martial Arts so that they fight for their safety if situation arises.
