The Department of Commerce at Doon School, Srinagar, successfully hosted the DSS Commerce Conclave 2026. Following an insightful opening by the Principal, the event featured a distinguished keynote address by Professor Mohammad Shafi, former Head of the Department of Commerce at the University of Kashmir and former Dean at IUST, who provided a profound analysis of the evolving economic landscape. The academic discourse was further enriched by guest lectures from Mr. Irshad Mushtaq, founder of MI Securities and a prominent financial educator, and Mr. Javid Bhat, a senior lecturer at the Institute of Hotel Management and facilitator from EHL Switzerland, both of whom offered practical perspectives on investment strategies and professional management.
The DSS Commerce Conclave 2026 served as a catalyst for student innovation, as commerce students took the stage to present a series of well-researched business proposals that showcased their entrepreneurial spirit and market insight.
