Students from grades 8 to 10 at Doon School, Srinagar, visited the SKUAST-Kashmir Faculty of Fisheries ten days after presenting their research projects at the Synapse 2026 science conference. The Synapse 2026 Science Conference was graced by Dr. Diana J. Fox, a distinguished professor of anthropology and decolonial feminist scholar-activist (Bridgewater State University, USA) whose career is dedicated to collaborative research on gender justice, environmental sustainability, and human rights. This post-conference excursion allowed the students to further explore the practical applications of their scientific inquiries by engaging with experts and observing real-world aquaculture innovation, effectively bridging the gap between their classroom projects and industry standard research practices.
